A Little About Us. 

SHIFT was created in Mpls, MN after the horrifying police-sanctioned murder of George Floyd. Stated plainly, white supremacy perpetuates harm against ALL people. It destroys families, neighborhoods, opportunities, and in too many cases, results in the loss of Black lives. At SHIFT we aim to break that cycle! We offer resources to our community, prioritizing BIPOC, Queer, Trans, and Houseless individuals experiencing unexpected setbacks and burdens due to both the pandemic and life.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing mutual aid and emergency relief for families living in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Occasionally we offer aid to families in other cities as well.

We serve our community by providing what is needed now and later!

We offer relief by: 

• Providing free groceries
• Distributing clothing and shoes
• Donating new or refurbished bikes
• Offering yoga & mindfulness programs
• Supporting survivors of SA & DA
• Offering financial support
